Ms. Mavragani is a Licensed Certified Social Worker, having graduated from the Department of Social Work at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens cum laude. After obtaining her bachelors degree, she pursued further training in the field of psychosocial support and psychotherapy for individuals, families, and groups. She has a wealth of experience in caring for people with neurological disorders, helping address social stressors that arise in daily life towards improving their quality of life. She serves as the president of the social cooperative enterprise “Anadeixi,” is a radio producer and presenter of the program “Openings of the Soul” on RadioSun online radio. Prior to joining the Neurological Institute of Athens in 2019, she served in social work programs across Athens, including the detoxification program of 18 ANO and substance abuse prevention program Pronoi, as well as the Multiple Sclerosis program of the Neurology Department at Athens General Hospital “G. Gennimatas.”
Her research has focused on the improvement of communication skills to form a partnership for women with Multiple Sclerosis, having successfully defended her thesis entitled “Psychosocial Support Programs for Patients with Multiple Sclerosis.”
